I had to reboot my home Linux box this evening. The machine itself was working well but I wanted to swap out the power bar that was feeding the machine. It had been running smoothly for 135 days... I really hated to reboot the box.

The machine really could use larger hard drives... the 36 GB disks just don't hold as much as I'd like. I'll have to look into that some time but there's no rush. A little extra RAM wouldn't hurt either, but I may let the box suffer so I can save up for a MacBook early in 2007.

It's been another day of I-can't-believe-how-much progress at home!

[livejournal.com profile] kent4str used the newly cleaned up garage space to assemble his new work desk; it looks pretty darn good, and it frees up even more space in the garage.

I spent the larger portion of the day sorting through our inventory of 476 square dance records, entering them into a spreadsheet and separating the lot into two stacks: those we're keeping and those we're sending into the white-hot center of the sun selling on eBay. Woo hoo!

Ah, and we have a short work week coming up. Life is good.
