Saturday Report
Nov. 18th, 2006 11:18 pmToday has been a very good day.
We slept in this morning. I haven't had that luxury in weeks and it felt fantastic.
After lunch, we started cleaning up the garage and the basement rec room. Much of the accumulated clutter has been stored where it should --some items trashed entirely. We need to drop off a load of goods at the local Goodwill but that's about all that is left. The basement hasn't been this clean since early spring.
While there was still daylight, we made a quick trip up to Mt. Airy, MD, to check on the out-laws' house. They're wintering in Florida currently but we pop by their local residence every few weeks to water the plants and ensure all is well. Indeed, there was nothing out of the ordinary there today.
A quick trip to Sam's Club largely refilled our pantry and freezer. There are some items we still need to get from a regular grocery store --we don't need a 50 gallon drum of soy sauce-- but those things can wait a while longer if necessary.
On the way home, we stopped by a local mall to look up a potential xmas present for
cuyahogarvr (and price a MacBook for myself). While we didn't find what we were looking for, I did find the pair of Rockport shoes I needed, a new toaster and a new garage door opener, all items *on sale!*
Dinner at home was a pleasant change as well, the first time in a long while. There are still a number of things we need to get done around the house, but the highest priority items are now completed ahead of schedule. Yay!
