Server Reboot
Nov. 19th, 2006 12:48 amI had to reboot my home Linux box this evening. The machine itself was working well but I wanted to swap out the power bar that was feeding the machine. It had been running smoothly for 135 days... I really hated to reboot the box.
The machine really could use larger hard drives... the 36 GB disks just don't hold as much as I'd like. I'll have to look into that some time but there's no rush. A little extra RAM wouldn't hurt either, but I may let the box suffer so I can save up for a MacBook early in 2007.

(have you considered dropping picture archives - both family photo, and pr0n (and the overlap) - to removeable nonvolatile storage?
