I was in the middle of a fantastic foot rub chez Jeff in Arlington when Kent called with some rather startling news: his minivan was gone.
He parked it at St. James' Church around 1 PM & finished unloading it around 1:30. Some time in the middle of the afternoon, in broad daylight, someone got a hankering to steal a clearly empty 1998 teal Dodge Caravan.
We are not amused. This only 3 months after my Civic was vandalized in a different area of Washington DC.
God, I hate this town.

Our van has over 140k miles on it and needs at least 2 quarts of oil a week. We've taken to calling it the Exxon Valdiz, mostly because of the huge oil spill that's taking over the driveway.
