Waaaaaay too perky

Does Rachael Ray do a few lines of coke before going on "30-Minute Meals"? No one could be that perky & hyper naturally. Someone please medicate the woman. Thank you.

I know. Personally, I think she's slamming meth.

[identity profile] ciddyguy.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
I dunno what she may be slamming but I've heard her admit she's ADD though.

I happen to like her, despite her hyper, giggly personality.

At least she's not quite as bad as Marylou Retten was in the Olympics back in I think 1984.

I'm not a huge fan of "30 Minute Meals," but I do enjoy Rachael on "(Insert Name of City Here) On $40 a Day," or whatever it's called.

Anyway, now that I think about it, Emeril strikes me as much more of a coke fiend than Ms. Ray.

I can't stand Emeril at all. He makes Ms Ray seem docile in comparison. :-)

So you're familiar with their respective drinking games, yes?

[identity profile] ciddyguy.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
I've not heard of their drinking games but just watch them in their respective shows and Id still take Ms Ray anyday. :-)

Please share the drinking games

In the oversimplified forms, you do a { shot | drink } any time they say or do:
  • Emeril:
    • Bam
    • Use your knobs
    • It's not rocket science
    • Keep it G
    • Makes fun of Jay
    • (etc.)
  • Rachael Ray:
    • Yum-o
    • Tells us what EVOO is
    • References her big mouth
    • References dropping stuff
    • References burning the bread, toast, etc.
In less simplified form, some things are more for sips and other more for shots.

[identity profile] bradferd23.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
She is better than that Sandra Lee with the semi-homemade stuff... I wish she would stop saying evoo... it just sounds wrong.

[identity profile] trawnapanda.livejournal.com 2006-02-23 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not familiar with this rather -er- hyperkinetic woman. Do I want to know what "evoo" is?

[identity profile] bradferd23.livejournal.com 2006-02-23 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
EVOO = Extra Virgin Olive Oil... I think they both come on somewhat together on the food network...

[identity profile] tdjohnsn.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
I've heard rumor that that is actually true...

[identity profile] dendren.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
she is too annoyingly perky, no matter what the show. I just feel bad for all the schleps out there who think they can actually do the same meal in 30 minutes without the coke.

[identity profile] billeyler.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm...I can do those meals in about 8 minutes!

[identity profile] bjarvis.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 01:39 pm (UTC)(link)
He means making them, not eating them. :-)

[identity profile] dendren.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 02:00 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL true, but I'm talking about the typical housewife with 3.5 screaming kids and a kitchen than isn't perfectly set up with all the ingredients and stuff hidden in just exactly where they are supposed to be :)

[identity profile] annoyinghandle.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
OK, then you just drink heavily to deaden the pain...

[identity profile] dendren.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
nah... drinking housewives is so 20th century, it's all about the happy peppy pills nowadays ;)

[identity profile] annoyinghandle.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Hold on there, mister -- "Mother's Little Helpers" are very mid-20th century. Besides, isn't Bree a big lush on Desperate Housewives?
BTW, I am soooo friending you...

[identity profile] dendren.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
True true... mothers little helpers have been around forever but we've moved from things like valium to prozac and welbutrin. Not that there is anything wrong with that :)

Oh, and Bree and her drinking, since she was sort of originally patterned after Martha (Satan) Stewart, do you think Martha has a garbage can full of wine bottles or sleeps off her liquor on the front lawn? Now *that* would be a great pic for the enquirer hehehe

THAT is why God invented microwave ovens and pre-prepared frozen dinners.

[identity profile] dendren.livejournal.com 2006-02-23 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
heh... I grew up on frozen dinners. No wonder I love to cook so much now, I didn't get real food as a kid :)

[identity profile] huntercbear.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 12:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I know someone who could easily be Rachael Ray's identical twin. The crazy twist is this person actually has an identical twin. Imagine Rachael Ray in stereo.....I have seen it. Scary!!

[identity profile] bjarvis.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 01:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Run away! Run away!

[identity profile] low-fat-muffin.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 02:35 pm (UTC)(link)
you should learn to cook in MY kitchen (giggle) - just ask around.

[identity profile] moofedct.livejournal.com 2006-02-22 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
You want her to be on MORE drugs? :)
