We've been away from home a lot the past two weeks. A lot. In fact, we've just returned home today from Cleveland where cuyahogarvr has been a week and kent4str and I since Wednesday.

Tomorrow, we're officially exchanging our presents as we didn't want to ship the lot across so many states just to unwrap them and drag them back again.

This means, of course, that I'm wrapping the bloody things right now because there has been no opportunity since their initial purchase for anything like this. I can only find two rolls of wrapping paper and no labels or tags so I just might present the entire lot wrapped in the weekend's Washington Post, adorned with post-it notes.

God, I hate xmas.

in all seriousness, gift bags. Buy a supply and use them over and over and over. you can even reuse the coloured tissue at the top. quick and easy and no sticky tape.

it may be a little late for that this year, but if all else fails, pillowcases. quick and easy.

as billeyler said, it's clear you shouldn't be doing the giftwrapping if it's all that annoying. so use gift bags in future. another domestic problem solved.

(though anything that gets a very scenic ohwolfman in your kitchen wearing nothing but an apron is an advantage)

Dollar Store has tons of gift bags - don't ask how much they are, though.
