I just drove into Kensington to deposit some checks but I can't get near any ATM of my bank because the parking lots --all of them-- are packed with holiday shoppers. I even had to do some non-intuitive driving contortions just to get home again because the intersections are nearly gridlocked with yet more shoppers.

Did I mention lately how much I truly loathe xmas?

It's not Christmas per se but the mindless and indiscriminate gift-giving, materialism, and resulting crush of shoppers.

My credit union has several branches located in or near industrial parks, far from the shopping madness. Are there any such branches/ATMs for your financial institution?

Yup, several but these two locations were the most convenient. I'll have to travel a bit to the next ones. At least I can tackle that tonight at, oh, 2 AM or so to avoid some of the shopping crowds.

Darling, you must find ways to enjoy the holidays as I do.

Last night while at a mandatory holiday party, we were given kits to make gingerbread men.

After slugging down three cocktails, the true nature of Christmas came out as I decorated my cookie:

A bra and panties, a worried expression, staples across the mouth, a bag over its head, and a noose to hang it from the limb of the nearest christmas tree.

Followed up with one more cocktail -- and *I* was in the holiday spirit!
