I'm leaving my cube for the last time within the hour.

My personal items are all packed; I'm about to start walking them out to the car. I've sent my farewell email to the team, along with contact information for those who care to keep in touch. All work tickets are closed and all workflows are completed. Files have been distributed and the Inventory folks have been alerted to take away extra items from my cube and storage cabinets. I'm about to take my yellow safety vest, flash light and materials from my stint on the emergency response team to Security.

In another 15 minutes, all I'll have left to do is power down my laptop and turn it over to my manager, along with my badge, pager and VPN token.

I think I'm done.

Queernet.org (and [livejournal.com profile] qnetter) has been the host of the gay & lesbian chorus mailing list for at least 12 years. They provide this service free of charge, funded by donations from grateful users and supporters.

Each December, Queernet's parent, the Online Policy Group, asks for donations to help keep their services running. In 2008, I donated $25/month and have just re-enlisted to continue this support in 2009.

If you can spare some funds, either in a one-time gift or in monthly installments, please click here.

In another 15 minutes, I should be on the road to BWI Airport. We're leaving my car in the parking garage there, then driving the PrincessMobile to Columbus, OH.

This weekend, we celebrate the 40th birthday of co-trailer trash David Lehnus. Give him a birthday squeeze when you see him!

So far this morning, while cleaning out my cube, I've consumed half a snickers bar, several oreos and half a pan of brownies.

No good can come of this.
