We arrived home about 20 minutes ago, fresh from a red-eye overnight flight from LA to Dulles, VA. I miss [livejournal.com profile] rlegters and [livejournal.com profile] tdjohnsn already.

The bus ride from our hotel to the airport was uneventful and LAX was largely deserted, making the ticketing and security waits very brief. LAX does have a free wireless network in place but alas, only to tease & taunt the tourists: while it gave me an IP address, it couldn't provide me with the default route or DNS IPs to make it useful. Doh.

We had seats in row 22 of a Boeing 767 --directly over the wing-- which made Kent very happy. I was too wired to sleep much although Kent managed to dose. I was surprised to see lightening in the storm clouds from above rather than dodging below, and watching the sun rise while at 33,000 feet was a new experience.

I have laundry started, my Palm is synced and I've quickly deleted all of the current spam and extraneous messages in my various mailboxes. Time to go nap for a while.

Lacking Internet access during the convention, I simply wrote my usual LJ entries into a text file for later posting. They're now in my blog, backdated to the appropriate interval. Insert repeat rant about $10/day Internet here. Grrrr.

I've finished labelling, sorting and posting my photos of the convention. Whew!

In all, I've posted 178 photos from the family visit in Portland prior to the convenion, 78 photos of our trip to Disneyland and 311 photos of the convention proper. There are actually many more photos on my hard drive but they're mostly flawed or duplicate images. As expected, my Mac exploded when I attempted to import them to iPhoto... I really need a much larger hard drive.

Click appropriately:

Click on the thumbnail to see the medium-sized photo. If you'd like a copy of the original JPEG at full size (900kb to 1.2 Mb in size), let me know and I'll send it in e-mail.

I got about 90% of the names, but if you see any errors or can help fill in some blanks, please let me know! Thanks!
