Cleveland!
Apr. 28th, 2006 06:43 pmWe were awake far too early, an early indication that there's something wrong with my life. I've had early hours at the office all this week and it's catching up on me. Ew.
Fortunately, this time, the early rise was to catch a flight to Cleveland from Baltimore-Washington International Airport to visit with friends. I can do mornings if (a) I'm being paid to do so, or (b) it's in my personal interest to do so.
Our flight was on time and traffic to BWI was relatively light so I'm a happy camper. I fell asleep in my seat while we were still at the gate so I have no recollection of the take-off or the flight; the landing itself seemed uneventful so I'll consider it a decent flight.
Nick took the day off work as he's been feeling rather exhausted too. Bless his heart, he collected us from the airport and whisked us out for some quick shopping & lunch before we returned to his house. After some chatting & catching up, we napped.
I must have needed the sleep badly: I was profoundly unconscious for three hours and had some very vivid dreams. Freud would have something interesting to say about images of driving a Honda Civic with two female passengers being chased by dinosaurs. Fortunately, Sigmund is dead so I'm in the clear.
Nick is out picking up his mother; shortly, we'll be all heading out for dinner. More news as it develops.
