Originally, we had a caller workshop planned for Sunday afternoon so I had allocated much of Saturday and early Sunday to preparing the space, setting up our calling equipment, setting up brunch and generally cleaning the house. Alas, we had to postpone the workshop: this apparently was a very busy weekend for many people and with so many of our victims dancers out of town, we opted to push it off for a couple of weeks. Suddenly, I had lots of free time!

I attended the DC Lambda Squares' open house Saturday 9 AM-12 PM. I suspected attendance would be relatively poor that ungodly hour of the day but was pleasantly wrong: we had seven new dancers and over 25 regular club members. In all, we four squares on the floor most of the morning. Now to see how many folks come back for next Saturday's class...

Despite the rescheduling of our workshop, Kent was still busy: he was out with his monthly role-playing game Saturday afternoon and a singing ensemble meeting Sunday evening. With the house to myself, I'd like to say I was incredibly productive, but in reality, I was only half so. I finished the short list of tasks that had to be completed --ironing shirts, catching up on laundry, filing a tonne of papers, getting a dry erase board for the office, cleaning up some files on the computer, catching up on e-mail, typing some meeting minutes, etc.-- but there was still a lot I could have done if I hadn't been feeling somewhat lazy. Call it a mental health day.

This week promises to be relatively light on our scheduling. We have no scheduled calling gigs this week or next, no business meetings, no out of town guests or such. Now I have no excuse not to get on the exercise equipment.
