Short-term debt free!

bjarvisMy last paycheck maxed out my 401(k) contributions for the year (that's the brain-damaged equivalent of a Canadian RRSP). Accordingly, today's paycheck and each one for the rest of the year will have an additional $450 (after taxes). Combined with some surprise outside jobs I've done this past week and reimbursement from the square dance club for a number of expenses, I wiped out the last of my credit card balances this morning.
I would have finished off the cards months ago had it not been for paying off my sister's car loan a couple of months ago. Pray she doesn't need any additional funding for another month or so to let me build up reserves in my Canadian chequing account again, as well as perhaps build up our joint savings account in the US. I'm dreading xmas already.
Now if I can just get rid of the mortgage...
