Still More Shopping
Sep. 25th, 2005 07:43 pmMy old Lexmark Z-51 inkjet printer has been showing its age over the past few months. It's been a good soldier but it is several years old and has been abused greatly in the past two years mass-producing colour postcards promoting DC Lambda Squares events and the like.
While browsing uBid.com on a whim, I noticed two manufacturer-refurbished Lexmark Z-615 models with 35 minutes left to the auction with only $1 USD asking price for each. I bid a maximum of $5 USD on each and won them both at that price a little later. Even with the shipping costs factored in, they're cheaper than the models I was checking out at Staples and only a fraction slower (17 ppm black, 8 ppm colour). Whee!
