The snow plow --really a front-end loader-- came through our neighbourhood last night. It made a single pass down the middle of the street, enough for a single lane and kicking up large banks of snow into our driveway. Not unexpected really... there just isn't anywhere else to put the snow.

This morning, I re-dug the areas I cleared yesterday and extended the clearance of our sidewalk. I then tackled the issue of my car, clearing the driveway and extracting my Civic from its own personal snowbank. The other two vehicles are still snowbound but we now have one available for emergencies.

My shoulders and wrists hurt far more than I would have imagined. Seriously, I always thought my lower back would be the first to give in under the strain but incremental old age is taking its toll in novel ways I hadn't considered.

Here's the snowy carnage...

I will refrain from gloating over weather related issues.

However, I can't promise that [livejournal.com profile] urbear won't gloat. This is his first winter somewhere without snow.

Truly impressive. Hope it warms up enough to melt the snow and ice off the roads at least!
