We had additional time pressure... garbage/recycling/used xmas tree collection is tomorrow morning. Of course, I'd been nagging to ditch it since, oh, the day after it arrived. :-)
Were there any needles left on it ? Ours was chucked out on the 5th of January or 12th Night as is traditional here in the UK. It's still outside and looks as good as the day we bought it - too bad it won't last until December !
Yup, we had stalked & killed it ourselves so it was utterly fresh when we hauled the corpse indoors in December, and kept it watered through the holidays. There were remarkably few needles on the floor after we tossed it to the curb.
We'd have chucked it earlier but last night was the first unbooked evening at home since the beginning of the year, and the last for another 10 days. *sigh*
