The JWs come to visit

A couple of young Jehovah's Witnesses just popped by to warn me about the End Times. At first, I was worried my parents were coming to visit but it turned out to be global annihilation instead so I relaxed a bit.

We sparred verbally for a few minutes about the interpretation of the past few thousand years of human history, quickly determined that neither of us were going to change our view any time soon and politely disengaged with dignity intact on both sides.

We're hosting a square dance calling workshop in 90 minutes... perhaps I'll leave their magazine out on the coffee table for the amusement of the dancers.

See, when I know it's the JWs, I try to answer the door with as little clothing on as possible. If that doesn't scare them off, I announce that I'm Wiccan, and that usually takes care of it.

My mother-in-law tends to chase them down the street, thwacking them about the head with a broom (true story, although she was much younger then).
