My flight from Dulles to San Francisco has wifi!
I'm 38,131 feet above sea level somewhere over Denver and I can check my email, update LJ and Facebook and update DC Diamond Circulate files, all from seat 19A!
According to Speakeasy.net's quick and dirty speed test, I'm getting 1922 kbps download speed and 296 kbps upload. I so wish I had traceroute on this laptop... I'd love to probe the network to see how this is set up. :-)
Now if only my Crackberry could get a signal... My Crackberry is now getting a signal and is going insane downloading hundreds of emails and Facebook updates. I think it's going to burst into flames from the sudden traffic.

Air, rail & ground transportation is the theme of the next DCDC newsletter, due at the end of February. Depending on the date & time of your arrival, we might even be able to collect you at IAD.
