Busy Morning
Dec. 12th, 2008 10:19 amI've been in a bit of a rush to get a number of tasks completed this morning since my day is largely booked by other issues, namely a farewell lunch in my honour 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and a company-sponsored event 2-4 PM. Everything I needed to get done today therefore has to be completed in the 8-11:30 AM window.
So far, I've:
- reviewed & approved a small list of work tickets;
- created a new file system;
- shutdown an old server and prepared its SAN-based file systems for import into a newly built Solaris 10 container;
- fixed a problem with ACLs on a server built last week; and,
- confirmed the removal of eight servers and two cabinets from the data center by the night shift.
I've also updated a flyer for an Advanced square dance weekend in our area with Ken Ritucci set for next February with a new location (don't ask) and recommended hotels, and sent the revisions to him for approval.
And I have an hour left to go! Yay!

Date: 2008-12-12 04:15 pm (UTC)The false "We'll miss you's" to the "let's keep in touch". The rancid chicken salad that somehow is to thank me for the years of toil.
The sweetest moments are walking out of the doors for the last time, muttering "So long, suckers!"
