Home Day

Today, almost nothing was on our schedule. No appointments, no rendez-vous, no daytime events, no office work shifts, no obligations. It's a very, very rare event so mark your calendars accordingly.

After sleeping in until nearly 11 AM, I've spend the day thus far largely lounging about the house and tackling some minor domestic duties. I've mailed off our car insurance payment, moved some files around, backed up my flash drive, updated some DCDC2009 registration records and such. All very easy and quickly dispatched. Life is good.

Tonight, we're going to a dance in Greenbelt, MD, hosted by the Mid Atlantic Challenge Association, called by [livejournal.com profile] justetthon and John Marshall. It will be very nice to go to an event with no particular obligations to dance, call, staff tables, serve hors d'oeuvres or such; I'm edging close to volunteer burn-out so a couple of nights off duty will probably do wonders for my state of mind.

Back to laziness...

It's a character shorter than "IAWTC" with a similar meaning.

um - I count "t-h-i-s-period" as five characters long, m'dear; and I'm afraid that your interpretation leaves me no further ahead. Both versions are opaque of meaning to me. Sorry to be obtuse, but neither idiom nor the abbreviation are clear to yr scribe.

just call me an ol' fuddy-duddy. i'm in the middle of writing a letter on paper, with a fountain pen.

"IAWTC" is short for "I Agree With This Comment." And I was counting the four letters versus five, ignoring the punctuation.

It's short for: "this is exactly what I would say, but you said it first."
