I'm thinking of using my Dear Employer's share certificates as wallpaper.

Wallpaper instead of toilet paper? I thought the shares were for Fannie...

My stock options are being used for toilet paper; stock certificates are heavier weight and aren't as kind to delicate areas of one's anatomy.

from 1923 in Weimar Republic Germany:

Inflation 1923–24: a woman feeds her tiled stove with money. At the time, burning money was less expensive than buying firewood.

No, I guess we're not in that bad a situation after all.

Less than zero?

Ironically I believe this is called a non-zero-sum situation since the interacting parties' aggregate gains and losses are less than zero. (Zero sum situations balance out.)

Yea, I've been joking that my 401(k) has become a 201(k)... great job W!

Zimbabwe is completely broken, and I don't see any way it can be fixed any time soon.

I don't actually believe there is such a place as Hell, but if there is, there should be a special place reserved there for Robert Mugabe. (Most of his countrymen subjects are already there.)

I don't even know how to go about fixing the problem. All I can think is that once Mugabe is finally replaced is that the current currency has to be completely scrapped and replaced with something pegged to, say, the euro or US dollar for a two year period for stability before releasing it to float once again. That period would have to be used to restructure the economy dramatically, getting the farms producing once again.
