Is This Day Over Yet?

I'm the UNIX primary for my Dear Employer this week. Yesterday was relatively light --it was a company holiday-- but they sure made up for it today.

Users have been beating on me non-stop via e-mail, telephone and pager since 8 AM. Mercifully, all but one issue have been resolved although I'm utterly exhausted.

I'm very grateful that cuyahogarvr made dinner tonight since I barely have the energy to eat. As much as I'd like to hide in our basement until my shift ends, tonight is the graduation for our Chesapeake Squares' latest Mainstream class so I really should go to Baltimore for the festivities. *sigh*

Ugh, doesn't that seem always the way? That people queue up all the work angst until the day after a vacation, then go ape-shit?
