I went to bed far later than I was originally planning --12:30 AM instead of closer to 11 PM. I thought it would make for a rough morning, but no!

The alarm went off this morning and I was fully rested! Even more surprising, I woke up in my own bed! (Get your minds out of the gutter... a certain someone's [[livejournal.com profile] kent4str's] snoring usually drives me into the smaller guestroom around 2 AM.)

The morning commute wasn't any uglier than usual and so far my pager has been utterly silent. Let's hope the day continues in this happy fashion.

Oh, no. No no no no no. Bad [livejournal.com profile] bjarvis. You should know better. Never ever say things like that; it's like poking Murphy with a pointy stick, much like "Nothing could possibly go wrong" or "It'll be easy as pie" or "The Hellmouth is closed permanently." <Shakes head>.

The reason you slept so well is that I was awake most of the night. Hardly a fair trade, IMO.

EAR PLUGS ROCK! (best Kelly Voice)

Ear plugs are insufficient to the task. They can't help when one's rib cage is vibrating under the onslaught. Some nights, I go down the hall to the guestroom and he wakes me from there.

I wonder if the house's foundations are still sound.
