My morning started well: I got a decent amount of sleep last night and the commute to work was uneventful.

Then it began to suck: I needed to clean up some issues and errors committed by a number of folks. They could have cleaned up their own messes if they hadn't expended all of their energy denying (a) that there was a problem at all, and (b) that it was their doing.

And then things are looking up again: one of my colleagues is taking orders for girl scout cookies. I'm ordering thin mints for me and peanut butter sandwiches for [livejournal.com profile] cuyahogarvr. Alas, they have no gluten-free versions so [livejournal.com profile] kent4str is stuck.

Thin mints will keep for over a year in a freezer.

Not that I'd know that personally, you understand. Just a rumor.

Of course, you could also always try whipping up a batch of these using gluten free flour:

well *I* certainly wouldn't know that personally, because there is no chance whatsoever that girl guide thin mint cookies would last that long in MY household. A friend of mine asserted that they're more addictive than nicotine, and I think he's right.

just call me the human hoover when it comes to girl guide thin mint cookies.

Having been addicted to nicotine in the past, I would definitely agree with your friend.

As far as the cookies not lasting too long, I discovered the best solution to this problem is a large ice chest freezer. I've been know to buy close to 100.00 worth of cookies - all for a good cause, of course.

large cache in chest freezer ... now THAT's something I can empathise with. I didn't have a chest freezer, but I have been known to buy a dozen boxes of thin mints at the same time from the same pusher girl guide.

I've considered that, but can't find the time or a gluten free flour that holds together worth a damn.
