Visiting the Outside World

I collected enough energy to drive my car to the local equivalent of Jiffy Lube for an oil change. 20 minutes later, I'm home again.

I had fortuitous timing: there were no other customers and the manager was standing in the adjacent service bay so the staff were ever-so-eager to look good for the boss.

Alas, an oil change was all that I could muster energy for Thursday. Being sick really sucks.

I had great timing: the garage was fully staffed, I was the only customer and the manager happened to be discussing business with an employee in an adjacent bay. In effect, I had a six guys working on my car simultaneously and trying to look good for the boss so my oil was changed, the windows were washed, the lights were all tested, tire pressure was checked and fluids were topped up in record time.

I never thought I'd be jealous of my car...
