Mixed Messages

My dear employer announced today that Monday, Dec 24, will be a corporate holiday: I get an additional day off work.

Last week, they announced that all contractors will be furloughed Dec 21 through Jan 8, a forced 2.5 week vacation.

I kinda wish I was still a contractor.

Our annual shareholders' meeting is being held at the Washington Hilton tomorrow, 10 AM EST. An audio feed is arranged to conference rooms at the office but I'm planning to attend in person. Our board of directors has some explaining to do and I'm looking forward to watching them squirm.
