My replacement passport arrived today! Hurray... I can travel internationally once again!

My application was mailed on Sept 29, my credit card billed Nov 6 and the passport delivered Dec 11. 63 days total.

Thanks for the information, as my passport expires on my birthday in March. Sounds like I should be getting renewed no later than January!

Mine took longer since (a) it was a replacement for a lost passport rather than just a simple renewal, (b) it was for a Canadian passport and (c) I was applying from outside of Canada.

Your wait time for a routine renewal on a US passport should be much faster, but do apply for renewal as soon as possible, just in case.
