Surprise!

I just blew a glass of water across my desk.

Things are very quiet in my cube right now. We're lightly staffed as folks are taking their accumulated use-it-or-lose-it vacation time; because of month-end financial processes, those of us who are at work can't do squat on the production systems until next week anyway.

I've already prepped my calling material for tonight's square dance gig --and cleaned up some of my uglier sequences from last Monday's-- so I was catching up on reading some square dance newsletters & magazines that have collected in my backpack the past two weeks.

I just finished reading local caller Butch Adams' column on formations in the newsletter of our greater Washington DC dance club association. I flipped the page to this month's crossword puzzle, also written by Butch Adams. The first clue entry in the puzzle is as follows:

Who are Brian Jarvis and Kent Forrester calling for on Dec. 21st?

I think this is the first time my name (or [livejournal.com profile] kent4str's) has been mentioned in print in any square dance publication outside of the GCA or IAGSDC --well, at least in something I didn't originally write.

Whee!

PS. The answer is "ZigZaggers".
PPS. I have to clean up my desk now.

Randi in the cube next to me commented, "This means you are a clue, not necessarily that you have a clue."

It could be interpreted either way. Full of clues, or having the attributes of a clue.

Is that a cluestick in your pants, or are you just happy to see me?

So you're saying we need to moisten the cluestick in his pants?

I hope it was as good for you as it was for the glass of water
