I'm in an odd state of mind right now but I feel fully justified in blaming the weather.

I can't stand high heat and humidity. Hell, I can't tolerate moderate heat and humidity. Water is meant to be enjoyed in its solid or liquid form, not as steam or plasma.

Despite my wishes to the contrary, the universe has determined that the temperature today should exceed 100 degrees F with extreme humidity. The universe already owes me big for not selecting my numbers for last Saturday's Powerball lottery: now it's just being bitchy.

My next-cube neighbour at work has suggested my lethargy may be due to a lack of proper hydration. She may have a point but I fear no amount of drinking will ever make up for having to work here for a living. Well, unless it's heavily spiked, anyway.

Today's to-do list: surviving until 4 PM, tanked up on fruit juice and water. All else is luxury. Damn universe.

Different world, same universe...

For me, the same universe deemed that it should be 70 degrees today. Stop blaming my universe! ;-)

I'm with you on this. As much as I like heat and humidity, when the monsoon floodgates open and the temperature rises, it gets really ugly. Here's to having an "off" day myself.

I'm not a big fan of the high humidity in particular. Living in the Rockies for four years destroyed my ability to associate summer heat "naturally" with this level of discomfort. Blech.

This is why we live in Seattle. It's not even supposed to break 70 this week until Friday.

I was about to say the same thing, damn rlegters. :-)

Yup, wearing a longed sleeved shirt today and we don't even have really cold AC at T-Mobile. :-)

It's supposed to do some raining later today and tomorrow at least but as had been said, not even breaking 70 much of the week (average temps is 76 or so during the summer).

This weather makes me feel like a wet rag.

Hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it.

Customer Service is unresponsive.

and i cant say "well at least you dont have bitter winters" to try and cheer you up.

You dont get the advantage of one maybe three days near 30 but rarely going under 30 degrees in the winter.

It is the only way that i get through August.

What, nobody warned you about the DC summers before you moved there?

Of course I did! I don't think he thought I was serious.

He obviously knows a good thing when he sees it, and you seem quite worth suffering through the summers and the winters.

Not at the time - didn't have enough points until the relationship was established. Besides, it's better to live here for now but have an escape plan.
