I'm trying to figure out how to compose the appropriate HTML code for a click-thru button to allow purchases via PayPal. We have our PayPal merchant account but PayPal's instructions for how to link to them is incredibly obtuse. If you have one of their blessed shopping cart clients, all is well; if you don't, they do have facilities but they've made it difficult to figuer out.

PayPal does provide code snippet examples, but they're so vague and context-free. You'd think they'd want to make the process a little easier. I feel like I'm trying to duplicate the entire human genome using only descriptions of basic amino acids with no clue or template about how they could possibly be linked together.

I'm going nuts. If anyone else has any success in linking a web site to PayPal, please let me know... I'm in over my head currently.

Ross and I never did get it to work for Puddletown. We finally gave up.

I did this exact integration for the Star Thru site. I've sent you mail with
relevant php code snippets to generate html for the button. Let me know if you have more questions!

Got it! I'll hopefully get a chance to read through it very soon. Thank you!

Hey Peaches, It's 5:45am and I'm just getting home. Saw your email about this. If you need additional help, call me.

Go to the "Merchant Services" tab.
On the Right side, find the "PayPal Shopping Cart" link (click it, duh)
Fill in your details. Click the "Add More Options" button for thingss such as shirt sizes, etc.
It will generate HTML codes for your buttons.
Continue creating buttons in this manner.

When someone clicks a button on your site, it will automagically open up a shopping cart page for them.

Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can.

*licks!*

And there it is! One would think they'd want to make this just a bit more obvious!
