Denver, Day 2, Part 2
May. 20th, 2007 10:37 pmAfter lunch at Hamburger Mary's up the street from our hotel, the four of us stopped briefly back at our room and then headed to the Molly Brown House Museum.
The tour was very interesting --I had no idea Margaret Brown had such an incredible life-- and the house itself was wonderfully restored. The admission is $6.50 per adult and well worth it. This tour is recommended.
Both before and after our museum tour, we walked past the Denver legislature. The legislature isn't in session and we didn't bother to see if there might be tours of the facilities themselves, but it's a lovely building from the exterior if nothing else.
After resting our tired feet at our hotel room (and checking up on e-mail and LJ), we headed out to the Denver Wrangler, mingling with the locals for their beer bust. We ran into a few unsavoury characters who were only too happy to pose for a photofor a reasonable price:
Following dinner at Steuben's, we returned to our room to rest and generally prepare for the coming week of non-stop activity. Caller school starts tomorrow at an ungodly hour so we'd better look bright-eyed & bushy tailed.
