I'm delighted to report [livejournal.com profile] cuyahogarvr was his normal happy self again once he had his morning coffee. Whatever bug had him under the weather for the past few days had finally cleared. Yay!

I slept a little late myself so I quickly put myself together, then dashed over to the "Intro to C2" class with John Marshall. OMG, I should have doubled up my caffeine intake before that one! Fortunately, we were all in an utterly twisted state of mind --John included. I don't remember the last time I laughed so far and so long on the dance floor before!

In the subsequent hour, I danced one tip of C1 to John (recording that one and the other tips) but had to spend the bulk of the hour handling minor administrative issues (checking out of the B&B, making reservations at The Breakers and submitting our early bird registrations for next year's fly-in, etc.).

Dayle Hodge hosted the GCA A2 calling hour this afternoon. Chris Phelan, Drew Allen all Chi Chi Hoffner called tips; [livejournal.com profile] kent4str and I shared a tip, and [livejournal.com profile] justetthon closed the hour with an energetic A2 set. Success all around, I think!

I didn't dance much the rest of the day, having had my comfortable fill. I took some more photos (will post the lot soon), said good-bye to various folks who were heading out early and helped clean up the dance halls as the event wound down.

On the way out of town, Jay W. gave us a tour of his condo in Rehoboth (available for summer rentals). After a little shopping at the outlet malls --there's no sales tax in Delaware-- we headed for home.

Usually the trek home is a little arduous: the first Sunday of May is traditionally the time of the public bridge walk when one span of the Bay Bridge is opened to exclusively pedestrian traffic, requiring all vehicles to share the western span. This is a great PR move and I'm sure it's a delightful scene but the pain to traffic to those of us returning to DC is tremendous. As luck would have it this year, however, high winds forced the cancellation of the bridge walk, keeping both spans open for traffic: we were home in just a few hours.

Which C2 call did you do with John Marshall? Inquiring mind wants to know.

If I remember correctly, we did:
- checkpoint
- fascinate
- rotary (anything)

Much fun was had!

My first C2 call was, I think, at a Cleveland fly-in, back in the day; Don St. Jean taught us Cross the K. Be glad you didn't have to deal with Disconnected or Once Removed concepts... they have almost as many traps as Concentric. ;-)
