Lemons, Lemonade.

Since I had to be at the office today --unlike the rest of my team-- I'm trying to make the most of it. Since little short of tactical nuclear devices could reduce my inherent bitterness at the situation, I can at least try to work through some items on my personal to-do list.

• There were three minor work-related items to handle this week. They were done by 9 AM. Good. There are still outstanding issues but they await input from other people who are off today and thus doubly countributing to my bitterness. :-)
  
• I've sent off my last health expenses claim from my medical savings account. There was $39 in use-it-or-lose-it funds left but my latest claim took up $36.36 of that so I'm considering the matter closed for 2006.
  
• I loaded 10 podcasts onto flash memory before leaving home this morning. While working on other items, I've caught up on my CBC and BBC listening, as well as a couple of pieces from the Australian Broadcasting System.
  
• I've resumed labelling photos. Nearly 400 prints arrived before New Year's, and I have about half of them labelled now with names of people, locations and dates. I still have last fall's gay rodeo, the Cleveland fly-in, the Harper's Ferry WV fly-in, two weekends at the trailer and a trip to the air & space museum to go.
  
• I've checked over kent4str's draft of the DC Diamond Circulate privacy policy and sent a couple of notes to him. Generally, it seems pretty solid.
  
• I have printed out the latest GCA Call Sheet draft and am about to slip into proof-reading mode so I can get my comments to Dearest Editor allanh as soon as possible.
  
• I need to write at least five more C1 figures today. At the moment, it doesn't look like I have enough bodies for a C1 square tomorrow evening but we'll make that decision tonight in conjunction with Warren & kent4str. At the very least, I want to be prepared in case we proceed.
  

If nothing else, surviving this day will bring me one day closer to collecting cuyahogarvr at BWI Thursday evening. And that's a very good thing indeed.
