Local friends Jim & Joseph held their annual solstice open house Saturday afternoon. Per usual, they had a huge spread of food, a bewildering array of beverages and a whiplash-inducing collection of hot men present! Alas, I didn't get photographs of everyone but here are the best of the shots I did get.

This party was the first opportunity to meet Douglas/[livejournal.com profile] soundbear69 in the flesh. He's just as sweet & handsome as he is online!

I've been friends of theirs forever - I usually stay with them when I visit DC. I did a Smithsonian Tour two years ago - and stayed there as a base o' operations. They are fantastic hosts, and well - terrific people.

Joseph is Marsha - and I'm Jan - just in case you were wondering....

*BLUSH*

Wait...wait...

Why does every "goodbye" picture look like something out of "Bear Video"!!!?

Come to think of it, I can't recall a time when you just gave someone a handshake.

Hmm.

Yeah, it's true. We started saying our good-byes at 5 PM so we could hit the road around 6. Handshakes are so impersonal.

I'm a serial handshaker.

You pretty much have to sneak attack me to get a hug-greeting. Yeah, yeah, I'm a freak.

I will cure you of this yet.

The hug-greeting thing, not the freak thing.
