Relaxing evening at home
Sep. 18th, 2005 10:40 amOur next few weekends are loaded with activity so we made a conscious effort to keep this particular weekend clear for rest, relaxation and catch-up on various neglected domestic chores.
As it happens, we had absolutely nothing particular to do last night. I suppose I could have updated the ClamAV app on my Linux box, but that was about all. Instead, we parked our butts in front of the TV and caught up on recorded programs, esp. Firefly, Stargates SG-1/Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica.
Firefly never should have been cancelled... I'm looking forward to the movie when it is released later this month. Battlestar Galactica is still one of the most consistently well-written and directed programs I've had the pleasure of watching in a while, although admittedly my standards may have settled rather low from the past few years of reality TV crap.
We may have dinner with a friend tonight (or may not, since we haven't heard back from him since we tentatively set the date). There are still the rebellious hedges to be brought into line and ClamAV to upgrade but I'm looking forward to doing nothing in particular.

Date: 2005-09-18 06:59 pm (UTC)Haven't been watching Rome as we don't subscribe to HBO. We --by which I really mean Kent-- watch(es) too much damn TV already; if we subscribed to premium channels, I'd feel a moral obligation to watch even more just to rationalize our monthly rates.
