Decompression
Dec. 27th, 2011 03:07 pmI'm delighted to report that my blood pressure is returning to normal and my anxiety levels are much lower than they were 72 hours ago. I have survived xmas.
Lord knows the universe hasn't made it easy. The furnace died last Friday morning so we've only had the heat generated by two small electric heaters for the entire house for four days now. Fortunately, the service folks will be here tomorrow with the replacement controller board so we should have central heat again by 6pm Wednesday.
With the holidays over & done, shops are now open once again and the lines are relatively reasonable. I have no plans to go shopping, but if I cared to, I have a hope of getting to a cash register without knifing anyone (or being knifed) to do so.
There are some people in the office today, but not as many as there should be. I can get some project rolling along but others will be blocked until after the new year. Getting something done is always better than getting nothing done so I'm happier than I was.
I've also finished the first round of redrafting my square dance choreo cards for Advanced, Challenge 1 & 2. Again, it's a little thing but it feels good to get it done.
In short, I'm human enough again to be approachable so while I continue to work in my computer bunker for personal comfort, feel free to knock.
