What's your most indispensable Android-based app?

I'm a huge fan of many Google products, including Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Plus, Chrome to Phone, and most recently, Currents. I've looked at Google Music but since I'm largely uninterested in music, I'm not the target audience.

Apart from the Google suite, I can't imagine life without Evernote: this app has saved my sanity so many times at home & work. SMS Popup has been useful to alert me when emergency work-related pages arrive. Yaaic keeps me in touch with work-related IRC channels when on the go.

Foursquare and Twitter are gentle amusements, especially if I'm having a sleepless night. Google Docs, Goggles, Sky Map and Google+ are cute but I hardly touch them.

Barcode Scanner has been useful for shopping. Aldiko is my preferred ebook reader. I keep apps for various transit systems for cities I visit frequently. Canada Newspapers is a convenient portal to a various of newspapers back home, again keeping me amused during sleepless nights or when I have spare time.

I don't use a single app which Verizon has pre-loaded onto my phone 'for my convenience.' You hear me, Verizon? Not one!

Note there are no games in this list. I don't think I've played a video game since I archived my Commodore 64 in the late 1980s. I'm just not a gamer.

It would be nice to have an app which can download my regular podcasts directly from iTunes instead of requiring linking to my home Mac or PC. Anyone know of such?

Are there other apps I should be looking at, either for work or personal interest? Are there better apps than the ones I've mentioned? Any personal favorites for any reason at all?
