More Geeky Updates
Aug. 6th, 2011 03:26 pmI've finally redrafted my personal website, www.office-assist.com.
For nearly 20 years, it was a gradual work in progress of hand-coded HTML --because nearly 20 years ago, we didn't have HTML editors, templates, etc.. It was growing gradually more cumbersome & bulky. Certainly it lacked any sort of consistency in appearance.
In recent years, I've wanted to beef up my profile to help promote my square dance calling. Yup, I got the business cards, maintain a twitter account (@bajarvis), have a separate FaceBook fan page and such, but the web site was the last to go.
The current site has a separate page about my square dance calling. Depending on the model of mobile phone, you can either see the full web site or a special mobile-friendly page which lists my current calling gigs with links to Google Maps with the location of the dance hall.
I'm also employing Google Analytics to track usage of the site.
There's still more work to be done, but I'm happy with it right now.
