DC Diamond Circulate Updates
Jan. 25th, 2009 09:06 pmWe had a committee meeting yesterday --we're now having them every two weeks to ensure we're completely on top of things-- and there is some news.
In general, things continue to chug along more or less on schedule:
We got another site for the fun badge tour locked down this past week. The buses and such were under contract nearly a year ago; the portable sound equipment is being bundled into our audio contract (below).
The latest newsletter is ready for publication; as soon as we have it on our www.dcdc2009.org website, I'll email the link to the LGCWSD mailing list as well as our registrants. I still need to print 75 copies or so to snail-mail to registrants wholive in the dark ages don't have email.
The BMI and ASCAP music licensing is complete.
We tentatively have a photographer selected --we need to continue due diligence checks on his past experiences and portfolio.
The audio contract is nearly ready to sign, as is the contracts for both the country/western dance DJ and the karaoke DJ.
Our next meeting comes up Thursday, February 12 and will be dedicated to itemizing all of the activities for which volunteers will be required so our volunteer coordinators can continue soliciting bodies for specific tasks & shifts.
The room block was enlarged yet again to add 20 additional room-nights to the trailing dates of April 14, 15 & 16 to accommodate those staying after the convention. ( Click for the current room reservation statistics. )
Total registrations are now 650 exactly. Eleven of these are first-time attendees.
( And here are the registration stats... )
