Pagerless

I forgot my pager and employee ID badge at home this morning. Anyone trying to get in touch with me will just have to e-mail or telephone, and the lack of a badge locks me out of the data center. Oh, what hardship.

Of course, if someone assigns a work ticket to me or pages me directly, [livejournal.com profile] cuyahogarvr will be driven insane --well, more insane-- by the beeping until he figures out how to disable it.

I'm in a playfully evil sort of mood this evening.

Overall, it's been a very good week at home and at work... life is pretty darn good right now. Of course, it will suck bilge water next week when I'm on call at the office and up to my eyeballs in evening appointments, gigs and commitments, but that's next week. Today I'm in a mood.

Right now, I feel like prank calling "Joe the Plumber," even though I'm sure he now realizes the full extend of his silliness.

I feel like swapping the decaf and high-test coffee in the office lounge. Most people will taste the difference; we'll be able to spot the ones who can't rather quickly.

I feel like making a Facebook group called "I have a better credit score than Iceland," although I'm a little wary of 300,000 fisherman & whale hunters steaming their way up the Chesapeake Bay to get even with me later.

I feel like calling my parents and talking to them in French, not just because I could use the practice but because they can't speak French and it pisses them off. We like to torture each other that way.

I feel like mailing huge piles of candy to my each of my nieces & nephew, taking gleeful knowledge that their parents will be go insane trying to corral the sucrose-fueled mini-monsters and I'm too many countries and/or states away to be made to babysit them until the sugar wears off.

I'm in a mood.
