Returning to the Real World
Jul. 8th, 2008 09:10 amI slept six hours last night. That's not a lot and not really enough for this aging body, but it's the best I could swing. It's also the longest continuous block of sleep I've had in ten days. Tonight will be better.
It was easy to tell I'd been away from work for a week: killing every task on my to-do list took one whole hour, nearly the usual time.
Boredom, however, will likely elude me today as I'm the UNIX POC and I have a tonne of sorting & scanning to do. My personal mailbox normally has a dozen items in it: currently, there are 85, all begging my immediate attention.
I'm so glad the latest IAGSDC convention was within driving distance of our upcoming 2009 convention: there was a lot of stuff to haul and I was in no state of mind to fight my way through what passes for air travel these days. I feel sorry for the Chicago guys who will have to deal with getting allthis crap these treasured icons from us next April.
