Saturday started with a quick trip to be re-fingerprinted and re-photographed for my request for a replacement green card. That done, we headed to BWI airport to collect [livejournal.com profile] otterpop58, freshly arrived from Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Once home again, [livejournal.com profile] otterpop58 and I hung around the house --I had a badly needed nap-- while [livejournal.com profile] kent4str and [livejournal.com profile] cuyahogarvr went shopping for bathroom tile; we are going to have the master bathroom remodeled in another month or so but we're behind schedule on selecting the tile and fixtures.

We had a quick dinner at our favourite Mexican restaurant, Mi Rancho, in downtown Silver Spring. Anyone who has ever stayed chez nous for any length of time will know the place. Sated, we headed back to the house for a quick costume change, then dashed to Takoma Park for the evening square dance.

[livejournal.com profile] otterpop58 called a 3 hour dance of Mainstream thru A2 with one C1 tip. He also had a special treat for us: a figure called "Dutch crossing" which he had picked up at a recent contra dance camp weekend.

I danced a couple of tips but my energy level from the past week of late nights & early mornings was finally catching up with me: I was moving very slowly by the end of the evening. Once home, we watched TV for a bit, then headed to bed.

Our morning started slowly but once we had breakfast at the Tastee Diner, another local dining institution to which we frequently bring our guests, we headed into downtown DC for more square dancing. [livejournal.com profile] otterpop58 conducted a 90 minute Plus workshop, then followed up with alternating Plus and A2 tips for another 90 minutes.

Dinner was a little early but we still had at least 16 bodies come with us to Annie's Steakhouse, including a special visit by [livejournal.com profile] wufpup.

For dessert, we decamped to Crystal City, VA, to sample the select at Cold Stone Creamery. I'm addicted to the 'chocolate devotion.'
