Sluggish Sunday

It's a good thing I got so much done yesterday because today, I have nothing.

I had enough time this morning to check on e-mail and push myself through the shower before we were off to Arlington for a square dance caller workshop. Dayle Hodge was using this workshop to help newbie callers Abe (DC) and Blaine (Pittsburgh) further along their development; kent4str were there as dancers and coach aids when needed.

In all, it was a fun three hours but I was cringing inside when I recalled my first year of caller training. God, the horrible mistakes, the incorrect calls, the complete lack of flow... I've done it all. Abe seldom had any difficulty with these issues; in fact, I thought he did stunningly well considering he hasn't had much training since the May caller school in Denver. Blaine has further to go but I think he improved dramatically from where he was at the beginning of the session.

By 3:30 PM, we were on our way back to Maryland, stopping briefly for groceries. I came down with a severe headache so I was happy to let kent4str experiment with food in kitchen while I popped aspirin and vegged in the living room. As I write this, I'm feeling better but still not myself. I think I'll lay down with a book for a while.
