IAGSDC 2009 Convention Planning Continues
Feb. 23rd, 2007 10:50 amWe had our regular monthly meeting last night and I've just finished typing & e-mailing the minutes.
Most activities seem to be chugging along as planned: caller contracts will be sent out shortly, we're working out the last details for the early-bird pre-registration table for Denver this May and fundraising is ahead of schedule.
Now that we have 501(c)(3) status, I've applied to the Fannie Mae Foundation for a donation of two used computers for DCDC. Surplus hardware is distributed quarterly but I don't know if they have a backlog of requests; with luck, we'll get two used laptops some time around summer or so which we can use for bookkeeping, correspondence, web design, registration/donor/membership databases and the like. I'm hoping to request another pair early in each 2008 and 2009 so we can have multiple machines available at the 2009 convention itself.
And I'm about to get us into my employer's matching gifts database. My colleagues and I would be able to get 2:1 matching donations up to $500, 1:1 up to $10k.
Now to get a registration form together...
