Yesterday was a not-so-fun roller coaster of massive mood temperature swings, alternating between breaking out in sweats and freezing to death. The headache and lower body pain has eased tremendously although my head still has a dull throb.

I thought I was improving towards the late afternoon but I backslid spectactularly in the early evening. I'm home again today with a persistent elevated temperature but I suspect I'll be well enough to return to work tomorrow.

Actually, "return to work" isn't entirely accurate. I had a big Sarbox collection due yesterday evening so I spent my few moments of mental clarity badgering colleagues for the data required to submit the report. We missed the deadline by two hours but that would have happened even if I was physically at work. I have a few work tickets to tackle today and will take telephone calls & pages so I can at least make something of this lost two days.

Since I've been largely bedridden and too damn lazy to get my wireless laptop from the basement, I haven't posted much of late. Here's a few things which have been rattling around in the vacuum inside my skull...

Ignore if you wish. )

[livejournal.com profile] cuyahogarvr took a couple of surprise photos of me when he was in DC January 6. It was a very pleasant surprise as usually I'm the one setting off an electronic flash in various peoples' faces without warning. It's kinda nice to have photographic evidence that I actually do exist and am not merely an AI process generating LJ postings.
