Minivan Update
Mar. 23rd, 2006 09:42 amKent had already done his research on what model of minivan he wanted to replace the stolen one which was returned to us but declared totalled by the insurance company. His furry heart was set on a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan with power windows & doors, fold-away rear seats, etc.. And last night, we went shopping, returning to the dealership from which he purchased the late minivan because they treated us well the last time.
The dealer again treated us very well, answered all questions directly, let us poke & prod a Grand Caravan that was on the premises, etc.. And we rewarded their attentiveness with a sale. Better yet, there was Grand Caravan which matched Kent's requirements, colour preferences, etc., at one of the dealer's other sites so we don't have to wait for factory delivery. The papers were signed last night, Kent wrote a check for $25,800 --we're financing it through our household line of equity-- and the new polished vehicle will be collected from the dealer tonight for a final check-through and test-drive. Unless there is some catastrophic flaw with this particular specimen, there will be a new vehicle in our driveway by 8 PM tonight.
Note to
paigemom: it's "magnesium pearl" with an interior of slate grey, cloth seats.
Now he just has to finish the paperwork on the insurance claim for the old one.
