Baltimore Club Night
Jan. 18th, 2006 10:55 amDancing went pretty well last night. Kent & I had the stage, our first club night of our own in 2006. My Mainstream tip was competent but uninspired... a couple of our newbie MS grads had returned after an extended absence so I intentionally resorted to very simple choreography to get them warmed up and a couple calls (tag the line & dixie style to a wave, among others, caused brief pandemonium. I am particularly proud of my subsequent Plus tip, however: smooth, well-paced, interesting choreography without being TNP and nearly perfect sight resolution on patter figures and flawless execution of the singer.
Kent's MS and Plus tips were OK as well, but his A2 was doomed before it started: we had only enough dancers for a single square and the usual suspects were having trouble with calls as simple as mix and quarter thru. It wasn't pretty.
Dayle is calling next Tuesday, Jan. 24; we're calling Jan. 31.
