Hiring!

At the risk of being crassly commercial, my employer is hiring sysadmins for positions as FTEs and contractors in Solaris 8 administration and SAN support. The data center in question is in Urbana, MD (north of DC, just south of Frederick, MD). We're a very high discipline shop so it's not an environment suited for everybody, but the benefits & pay are good and there is definitely job stability & security. If it's worth anything, I've been here for six years as both a contractor & FTE and have no plans/desire to go elsewhere.

Local gasline now $2.499 USD/gallon! Woo hoo!

Ack. I can't believe I'm happy that gasoline is only $2.499 currently. That's the lowest it's been since Katrina.

That I am enthralled by such a triviality is a strong indicator of the kind of week I've had so far. And we didn't win the Powerball. sigh

God, I can't wait to escape to the trailer tomorrow for the weekend.
