I can understand some store starting to roll out their xmas holiday sale items. I can cope with some decorations going up here and there. The following, however, in the center of the mall in Frederick, MD, at lunchtime today is entirely too much since it's only just the beginning of November:

The photo was taken with my feeble cell phone camera so the scale is hard to grasp. Suffice it to say the display is larger than our house. In another week or so, Santa will be parked in front with a queue of visiting children mugging for the cameras.

When I become supreme dictator of the universe, all such displays will be banned until December 1.

Bah Humbug!

Maybe it has to do with my current mood, but as supreme dictator, could you ban ALL public displays like this. I don't mind, and actually enjoy holiday displays like this in the privacy of one's own home, but the public displays are way over the top and reflect negatively on the mood of the season.

I'll add it to my to-do list...

Hell, I'd wait until Nov. 24, the day after Thanksgiving here in the US.

I even begin to play Christmas music on Thanksgiving day on my way to my sister's. :-)

Just say NO to malls!

At least they waited until after Halloween, eh?
