Friday night was relatively low-key. [livejournal.com profile] cuyahogarvr arrived from Cleveland late Thursday and spent much of Friday being a tourist around DC while [livejournal.com profile] kent4str and I were at work. In late afternoon, Woody arrived from Pittsburgh, completing our household for the weekend.

After a quick disco nap, the four of us ate at "America" at Union Station before walking over to the Hyatt for the evening country dance. All four of us claimed our "entertainment" passes which have given us complimentary access to all events (and thus saving us a bundle of cash).

The dance itself was off to a slow start but it filled in nicely by 10:30 PM. Soon enough, however, we were meeting & greeting a large number of friends, both local and out-of-town.

Our DC Lambda Squares square dance demo at 11 PM was lightly attended but lots of fun nonetheless with a quick tip. Somehow I was given the microphone for an impromptu invitation to all present to come to our open house on Monday night; I managed not to make a fool of myself on mic --as near as I can tell anyway.

We stuck around until about 12:30 AM or so before heading home and sleeping soundly.

Saturday afternoon was spent milling around the hot men at the fairgrounds in Montgomery County. I'm not big on the rodeo events themseves: as the old joke goes, I was taught not to play with my food. :-) More to the point, I'm only peripherally interested in the competitions and the arena itself has no shade so I wouldn't be able to bear the heat & direct sunlight for more than a few minutes anyway. Yeah, I'm a wuss. The sweat lodge portajohns were oppressive enough on my fragile consitution.

Still, there were lots of people we knew among the dancers and community groups in the dance & vendors tents. I have 50+ photos I'll assemble onto a web page later this weekend. In the interim, I offer the following impromptu LJ assemblage:

Now off to dinner and the evening dance!

Does that make me a slut?

no, that makes you a man of taste and perception. an unfortunate man of taste and perception, since you haven't planted lips on any of them yet.

(I'm only one ahead of you, having known/met Kent for years/many times)

Actually, I think he meant he hadn't kissed ONLY one in the picture...

And that doesn't make you a slut - it's BECAUSE you're a slut. But I like that in a man. Obviously...

We're both in the same category that way so at least you'll have company no matter what label we earn. :-)

I don't know whether to read this as "I have not kissed any of these guys" or "There's one among these guys that I haven't kissed".

I meant "I have kissed 4 out of 5 of them..." -- bad writing! [slaps self]
