C1 Boot Camp Preparation Con't

[I just knocked off another task from my must-do list so I'm rewarding myself with an LJ posting. If I survive until noon, I'll reward myself with a chocolate sundae, after which I will blissfully cease to care about the worries of the world.]

Wednesday night, kent4str created a flyer to promote the Sept 29-Oct 1 C1 weekend: he's really handy with Print Shop, an application I never quite got my head around as design & layout really isn't my thing. Yesterday morning, I printed out 100+ copies of the flyer. Yesterday afternoon, I printed envelopes for most IAGSDC clubs (skipped the C clubs... they're already doing C1). Last night, we stuffed said envelopes with said flyers during a break at DC Lambda Squares' Plus & A2 club night. This morning, kent4str is dropping the lot into the mail.

I'm still looking for at least three more registrants to make this viable, more if possible. Hit me up if you're interested!

I'm surprised you're not contacting the local C1 groups. Sometimes you have folks that really DO want a refresher and would happily go through a class again. Unless of course they all learned to Mike Jacobs. Then it's moot that they know how to dance C1 competently!

The local C1 groups have largely been contacted in person and flyers handed out individually rather than by mail. The C clubs I skipped in the mailings are mostly the California ones since they're unlikely to hop a flight to retake something they've already done.

Do you need three more people to make one square, or to break even? I'll pass the word around in my club.

I need 10 to break even although the club has committed to making up any financial shortfall. Fortunately, I have enough angels signed on to complete either a single square or two if needed.

Flyers have been snail-mailed to your official club address so hopefully a few of them will appear at your next club night or event. :-)
